foxes are so cute. I have seen just ONE when I was photographing the sunsrise down at my local river. It was just walking around on a gravel road. I only knew it was there because the magpies were going nuts at it swooping it and it didnt care.
can you explain how to be downwind?
We have foxes all over the the city, I've got a friend that lives along a bike trail. They have about 6-8 foxes appear in their back yard every night. I'm going to go over and attempt to photograph. Any suggestions? My friends are normally out on their patio having dinner when they appear. So I'm guessing some of the rules here don't apply. Lol my friends don't enjoy their patio while in camo.
Very good video but one thing that you didn't mention is that even if wearing camo gear sudden movement should be avoided. (I am saying this to try to be helpful rather than fault finding)
what if I use those special whistles that imitates injured rabbits, soo the fox comes at me?
Rather than a "fox whistle" or "electronic caller" try using a small pocket mirror and a piece of polystyrene. Wet the polystyrene with your tongue and press it on the mirror while rubbing it up and down.
I've seen fox tracks all over local parks, seen dens, been out before sunrise and at sunset. I don't wear camouflage and I think I am quite loud. Should I just sit near a den I think has a fox in it and just see what happens? Sit around a few different dens until I find luck?
It takes a lot of patience and good luck. Foxes have a habit of moving their den sites regularly and they are incredibly wary. Sometimes local knowledge can be the key i.e. someone you know mentions they've spotted a den or a fox regularly visiting a garden etc. Then if you wait around quietly at the location you increase your chances of spotting them. The clip here took us weeks of work even though it doesn't look like it! Good luck.

So how long did you sit there before they came out? you made it look so easy! you should see the video i just posted, i had a little bad luck with foxes.
I wish it was that easy! The footage in the video took weeks of work and the foxes kept moving their den site. Good luck with your wildlife photography.

Amazing video, You see people with wolves and they might be closer to dogs and be able to breed with them but I'd rather have a fox than a wolf. Those fox look super cute.

Well Roald Dahl one of the world's greatest children's book authors actually painted the Fox as the good guy. The book is entitled Fantastic Mr. Fox.
This fox makes me think of Tod the fox from Disney's THE FOX AND THE HOUND (1981).

If you listen closely, around the three minute marker, you can hear Jack purring in the background, from the audio interview added to this video documentary.
This human sacrifice himself for a Fox because he realized that animals much kinder than majority of humans, this Fox sacrifice himself for a human to help him to live in this cruel world... All these things easy to see in this video.
